EXPEDITION.26 Chasing Meteorites

For a few weeks, the ELKA boutique invites you to travel beyond Earth's borders into the fascinating universe of meteorite hunting alongside Konstantin Kruychin.

Since 2020, EXPEDITION.26 has explored the most remote territories on the planet. The team studies historical impact sites, analyzes soil geology, and traverses wild, deserted expanses. Their goal: to recover these celestial fragments buried for millennia, pristine witnesses to the birth of our solar system over 4.5 billion years ago.Over the course of these missions, this small team of enthusiasts has gathered nearly a ton of iron meteorites.

This temporary exhibition reveals the behind-the-scenes of this quest through authentic specimens—notably from the Hickman, Mundrabilla, Mount Dooling, Muonionalusta, and Sikhote-Alin falls—accompanied by the equipment deployed in the field: metal detectors, GPS devices, drones, cartography, and expedition instruments.
