I'm still buzzing from the incredible news: my creation, the Elka Arinis AF02-0804, has just been named the TEMPORIS Best Start-up Watch at the TEMPORIS International Awards. This is an immense honor and, for me, a truly monumental moment.

For decades, I worked behind the scenes in the watch industry. I learned from the best and contributed to some incredible projects, but I always had a deep-seated dream of creating something that was entirely my own.

Launching Elka was that dream brought to life—a risky, exhilarating journey that I embarked on alone. Every detail of the Arinis AF02-0804, from the initial sketch to the final polish, was a labor of love. There were long nights and moments of self-doubt, but the vision of what this watch could be always kept me going. It’s more than just a timepiece; it's the culmination of years of experience, a passion for watchmaking, and a personal bet on my own capabilities.

To have the TEMPORIS jury and so many people around the world recognize this work is the ultimate validation. It feels like a loud and clear message that the independent, start-up spirit is alive and well in the world of horology. This award isn't just for me; it's for every individual who dares to follow their passion, no matter how big the challenge.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Elka Watches from the beginning. This is just the start of our journey, and I can't wait to share what's next.
